Wellspring carried out a review of existing private sector financed initiatives – excluding CSR projects – identifying key stakeholders for consultation. Throughout the consultations, we identified key learnings from existing private sector financed food security agendas and assessed their scope and potential for targeting food security in high priority regions.
Our research reviewed a range of existing private sector initiatives and investments which aim to improve food security, and found that two objectives need to be prioritised to maximise impact:
