Description
We explored the challenges of diet-related non-communicable diseases in India and the UK and the existing capacity of institutions in UK and India to address these challenges through diet and nutrition research and innovation.
Our work involved desktop review and interviews to understand and present common challenges, and the development of a capacity framework to highlight strengths and opportunities across innovation categories. We developed a database of relevant institutions and convened ±30 stakeholders from industry, academia and government in both countries to a lively virtual workshop to discuss preliminary findings. Our final recommendations to IUK were a set of prioritised opportunities and a roadmap of next steps towards pursuing these.
